Courtney + Justin | Intimate Downtown Phoenix Wedding | Arizona Wedding Photographer

One of the biggest things I love about doing weddings is hearing the love story behind each couple, seeing them both tell the tale, and learning about all the little surprises on the way. I love hearing these tales because usually it's something completely different than what I expected.

Courtney was one of these surprises. As we sat at the Starbucks table and she related their beautiful story with both heart ache and love again, I couldn't help but think of the new Disney movie Inside Out (Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen it yet) and I had to bring it up. Life and love are beautiful and have their ups and downs. I love the part in Inside Out where it reveals that some of the little girl's most joyful moments in life came just after moments of sadness. I love when movies speak to your heart. Sometimes knowing the hard times helps you recognize and value just how beautiful the good times are.

What I loved most about Courtney and Justin's day was that they were so focused on Justin's two little ones and them becoming a family. It was beautiful! From the vows between not just Justin and Courtney, but Courtney and the two little ones, the beautiful first looks between them  all, and to that moment just after the ceremony and first kiss when they hugged and hugged and hugged---their first moments as a family.

It was so beautiful.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day Courtney and Justin! It was breathtaking and I'm still dreaming about it! I'm so happy for you both!! Congratulations you two!! I hope you love the pictures and that they show just how much love there was there that day!

Kyrie loved helping Courtney get ready! Also, I'm still sooooo in love with Courtney's pink dress! And it had pockets!! It was so stunning on her!

I love father/daughter first looks! They wanted to do a special one with her dad and brother! Just wait until you see the next picture. Seriously need to go grab some tissues!

We decided to do Courtney and Justin's first look at the science center overlook just at the top of these stairs. She was so nervous!
Ry had to show me his missing tooth and sweet batman watch!

The Lath Pavilion was AMAZING!
Their first hug as a family.

Justin surprised them with a bicycle carriage to the dinner! They loved it!
Also, side note, the food at Bliss Rebar was incredible!
Each person left with a donut from Fractured Prune Doughnuts as a favor! MMMmmm!!
Congratulations again Courtney and Justin! Your day was so beautiful!! I hope you loved the pictures!

xoxo,

Trisha

  1. I shot a wedding at this place in May of last year and the couple was thrilled! They had the ceremony out on the patio then came inside to a long-table format reception which was perfect. The wedding venues cake table was backed by some stunning views.
