Sean & Anna | A Vintage Modern Art Studio Wedding

As I was thinking about how to describe Anna and Sean's wedding the words "joyful", "delightful", "close-knit", and "love" filled my mind.

Anna and Sean haven't had the typical engagement or courtship. Anna actually met Sean about five years ago when she accidentally crashed his birthday party.  Their plan wasn't to fall in love. It was more of an, "Oh hey, I'm only going to be here for a little bit but we can try this thing for now." And then turned into five years together and the spontaneous decision to skip the long engagement and just get married. And their friend's couldn't agree more.

Anna's goal was to keep the wedding simple, unique to her and Sean, and close-knit. I'd have to say it was executed perfectly. It was held at her parent's downtown Silver City art studio and home, and it was the PERFECT venue for the occasion. With the old wood floors, tons of natural light, her dad's gorgeous artwork on the walls....it was amazing.

And then came the ceremony. In keeping with the theme of simplicity, Anna and Sean chose to be married in the courthouse. Although it lacked all the grandeur and glamour of a typical ceremony, I have to say it was one of the most heart-felt and love filled ceremonies I've been to. The room was filled with just their closest loved one's. It was simple. It was emotional. It was joyful. It was the perfect fit for Sean and Anna. And after the ceremony.....well, the pictures will tell it all, they were soooo happy! Everyone's hearts were filled and you couldn't help but have a smile on your face when you looked at them.

Then these two got in front of the camera and it was like their inner models came out! They were complete naturals and were such a party! Anna wore an authentic 1940's vintage wedding dress. As Anna explained to me, in the 40s most people ("common people") wore a dress to their wedding that they could wear more than once. This dress was bought for Anna when she was 12 as her confirmation dress. She has worn it to several events, and in keeping true to the spirit of the dress, she was finally able to wear it to her wedding!

I could go on and on, but I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Congratulations Anna and Sean! You're married!!! And it was the perfect day!
