Mackenzie + Jack || NYE Wedding in Wichita || Arizona Wedding Photographer

I feel like I've been waiting all year for this wedding! I think it was back in March of last year that I shot Mackenzie and Jack's engagement session! (It really was last year! Hooray for the new year!) Soon after that they asked me if I'd be up for flying to Wichita, Kansas to photograph their wedding on New Year's! It sounded so amazing I couldn't resist!

It was such a wonderful experience. Even before the ceremony I teared up at least twice! Everything was so beautifully planned and orchestrated. It was such an honor to witness Jack and Mackenzie share their vows with one another. They were so beautifully written and you could tell that they love each other more than heaven and earth.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when Mackenzie walked down the aisle. Just an hour before she had done a first look with her dad. It was a joyful day for him, but definitely a struggle for a daddy letting go of his little girl. As they walked down the aisle, Jack's face couldn't hide the emotions he was feeling inside. His reaction was so beautiful and though he was nervous before the ceremony, seeing Mackenzie for the first time in her wedding gown on their wedding day--you could tell the nerves just washed away and the beautiful reality of what they were about to do set in. As Darrell (Mackenzie's dad) walked her up, you could tell he was doing everything he could to not lose it in front of every one. It's hard to let a daughter go, but it was such a beautiful moment of passing Mackenzie over.

I had such a fun time all day with Mackenzie and Jack on their wedding day! You spend a lot of time with them during the day, always directing and taking pictures. Mackenzie is such an amazing, kind, and strong woman--and so loved! I've been so lucky to come to know her through dental school and the wedding! (Her and my husband are in the same dental school class.) They definitely made my 2016 New Year's Eve an unforgettable one! Thank you so much Lori, Darrell,  Mackenzie and Jack for trusting me enough to fly me to the wedding and taking such amazing care of me! I had the best time and left with both my heart and belly full! :)

Happy New Year Mackenzie and Jack! What a beautiful start to 2017! So lucky I get to hang out with you all in Arizona for a few more years!

Neil Lane! Anyone a Bachelor fan?! I was so excited when I saw this! Also, Mackenzie's flowers were made of wood! The people who make them were actually on Shark Tank! So neat!

Mackenzie gave both her mom and dad the sweetest gifts!
She gave her mom this necklace that said "My mother, my friend" with little charms inside.
 The daddy daughter first look!
She gave her dad this beautiful watch with a custom case.
Making grandpa feel better after the daddy daughter first look!

 My favorite moment!

 Love these two!!
And because it's New Years we got a little crazy! :)

I hope you loved it! Happy New Years Everyone!!

xoxo,

Trisha
