Early Christmas Present

So for months I've been begging Jake to let me get a fancy camera. Even before I started begging I would take his little point and shoot camera and try to get all artistic with it. It worked.....okay. Mostly because I had cute models (husband and baby :)). I'm not biased or anything.

Recently we had a conversation that went like this:

Jake: Trish, don't expect me to just surprise you with a fancy camera for Christmas. That's something we'll need to talk about and do a lot of research on. That's a lot of money.

Trisha: I know, I know. $350 to $500 dollars is a lot of money.

Jake: What? Only that much?....I thought those cost over $2000. Sure, Merry Christmas. It's all yours.

Trisha: (Dumb founded expression on face) Haha, what? ........you thought it was over $2000? Well some models.....you mean I can really get one?!!

Jake: Don't get too excited.....

Trisha: WAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! (running around crazy)

And that's how it began :) I'm starting to think that's a good way to get what I want. Make him believe it's super expensive....and then let be only kind of expensive. Camera down. Next step: new couch :)

Well, this turned out to be a great time of year for me to get a camera. After weeks of researching and watching tutorials and reviews on cameras I chose the Nikon D3200. My friend Marquette (the one who took my awesome blog pictures) also recommended Nikon. Anyway, black friday came, it was ordered, and last night I got my beautiful new camera in the mail.

Here is the start of hopefully many photography blog posts:) Here are just a few of my favorite pics from the past....well, I'd say 24 hours, but it's been less than that. Can you tell I'm excited?!!!?!?!
