Amber + Chris | Papago Park Engagement Session | Arizona Wedding Photographer

They predicted that it would hit 117 degrees on Saturday. We had been planning this engagement session for a while and we were getting nervous! We almost considered canceling, but it's so hard to tell if it would be any better later. We did the only rational thing a person could do at this point.

Wake up in the early morning and meet at 5 AM to do our engagement shoot! Now, I woke up at 4, so I can only imagine how early Amber was up! Prepping for pictures (at least from my personal experience) takes a while! :)

I must say, I am so proud of these two! We got there just as the sun was rising and as it rose we could just feel the temperature inching its way up! I absolutely adored getting to know these two and hearing their story! Amber is such a fun bride! I can't wait for her wedding later this year! As we were talking through wedding plans it was so fun to see how how organized she is! I definitely wasn't that skilled in that department for my wedding! I loved when she told the story about a late evening sitting down to watch a movie with Chris and she brought her computer out. He asked her what she was doing, and she said "inventory!" This girl could seriously be a planner!

Anyway, I am soooo excited that they chose me to be their wedding photographer! Amber and Chris, I'm so happy and excited for you guys!  I hope you love the images!!

And shout out to the amazing Katie from Tied Ribbon for the gorgeous custom hand lettered sign! Don't miss it!

  1. I’ve had a couple of events at this location. The only thing that would have made these guys from chicago wedding venues better would have been better communication in the earlier planning stages, but it all worked out great in the end.
