Last Friday was a dream! I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful wedding of Alaina and Garrett! Almost two weeks ago, I got a message from the groom's sweet mom, Sandy, asking if I was available for this day! Due to some crazy circumstances they needed a photographer, and they stumbled across my Valentines package I'm doing with Mandy Woodman Films. I was so elated to say "yes"! I'm so grateful they found us! These two were so sweet and their love for each other just exuded from them!
I actually met Alaina for the first time on her wedding day! Isn't that crazy? But we had chatted a little beforehand about her beautiful love story. These two should probably send a wedding thank you note to State Farm! That's how they met and came together, through their work there. It wasn't love at first sight, but it was pretty much love at first date--inseparable since their first date! Alaina said she just had that feeling in her gut, the "this is the one" feeling!
Alaina and Garrett opted for a first look on their wedding day. As Alaina gradually got ready, step by step, putting her dress on, her jewelry, her shoes, you could tell she was getting just a bit more nervous with every minute, anxious and excited for that special moment. And oh, did that moment not disappoint. They waited behind a closed door, the bridesmaid hiding in the corner to watch. The look on Garrett's face as he saw his beautiful wife to be for the first time in her wedding gown was priceless.
