Mommy and Me in Gilbert AZ | Marquette & Darrow

Remember that scene in the Jungle Book where the vultures are sitting on the tree and one says, "What do you want to do today?" and another says, "I don't know, what do you what to do?"....."Now don't start that again!"

When Marquette told me she was coming to town we knew we wanted to do something together but what to do...what to do. It kind of felt like that. Haha.

Any time with Marquette is a party, so I wasn't worried. She is so beautiful, fun, caring, and genuine. I want to start calling her a bestie, but she's the kind of girl that has 20 besties just naturally and totally unintentionally. Guess I'll have to hop in line, or start doing some face offs to claim that throne.

The mommy and me shoot was probably the best idea ever. As a mom, I'm always the one behind the camera taking pictures of my daughter. Well, when she lets me. If I pull out my phone and say, "Let's take a picture for Dada", then she'll pose and be happy. If I pull out my chunky DSLR camera, she runs like a wild child as fast as she can to get away from me. 

Figures :) Anyway...

I was so grateful for the beautiful photos Marquette took of my daughter and I and so grateful I got to give her the same treat. You spend so much time as a mom, caring for, changing poopy diapers (there, I said it), getting up in the middle of the night, worrying about them, and also, loving them. I love that we were able to capture this small moment in time with our kiddos, one on one. It was beautiful, tender, and joyful.  Thanks Marquette, I'll treasure my photos forever.
